Have you ever been
out walking in the country some night in the early fall or late spring and
looked up to see a mysterious, almost eerie light coming from the northern sky?
As you continue to watch a curtain of beautiful light, it dazzles you
and holds you in a trance; you watch as nature continues to show you some of
the beauties and splendors that we enjoy on this earth.
You sit or stand there captivated for hours that seem like minutes,
watching, as the heavens use the night sky as a canvas.
Continually changing the watercolors, moving things around, and holding
you breathless with suspense about what the next picture will look like.
The
Aurora
gradually starts to fade, and you decide to walk home, continually looking back
at the spot in the sky that you just witnessed an art show of heavenly
proportions. You feel at peace,
refreshed, invigorated, and thankful that you witnessed true beauty.
You have been touched by what you have seen and from this moment
forward, you will always look to the sky, hoping to catch another glimpse of
this beautiful phenomenon.
Curious about the
scientific explanation of the
Aurora
?...Check out this great article from Wikipedia (it also has some
great pictures)
